Feeding the family:

The responsibility of cooking a "proper" dinner each night can become quite onerous and sometimes overwhelming. This is from someone who quite enjoys cooking - ME. However, due to my banding I can only eat certain types of food and then not very much of it and my Mother in her elderly years has found a change in tastes. Things that she used to love, she no longer wants or fancies so I have to totally relearn. We are having quite a few D.N.M.A. (Do Not Make Again) meals.
So I am always looking for ideas and suggestions that are easy and get me out of a pickle. If anyone has ideas about this please post or go to by Blog : http://pelicansandcraft.blogspot.com.au/
I love potato salad and have found a recipe for Traditional German Potato Salad, I hope to try it soon.

-can only make the potato salad when we are having a meal suitable and they are few and far between during the next couple of winter months.  Although I do still like salad occasionally, even in winter.

Please, please let me know your favourite winter meals, including osso bucco and lamb shanks. (Every ones faves)
