Whilst Mum prepared GD No 2 to play I went in search of something warm to drink. By now the wind was really starting to blow and blow it did for the remainder of the day. Not quite as hard as the day before, but definitely a little uncomfortable. However, little one played happily for quite a while with and without her mum and Grandma took many pictures as you will note.
We eventually moved over on the lawn near the whale fountain where she ran and ran as did her mother and eventually had hot chips sitting on a park bench, until the seagulls became VERY aggressive. (Grandma's fault!) Another quick play in the play ground and we decided it was time to start moving back to Goolwa. Not in the car 5 minutes and little one was sound asleep. So, as we were driving into Middleton we decided to go down and see if there were any whales out there today and HOORAY, we sat on top of the hill for about 15 minutes watching and mother and calf in the water.
I eventually arrived back at the motel at about 2.00 pm and said farewell to my beautiful daughter and sleeping grand daughter and went inside quite exhausted and desperately needing a granny nap.
Not to be: yesterday I promised to try and obtain pictures of pelicans so after a quick freshen up out I went in search of these adorable birds. I headed down to Hectors on the Wharf and ordered an iced coffee and waited and watched. I could see them in the distance but alas not one came close. I did take pictures but even after cropping you would still need a magnifying glass to go in search of the birds. So instead, I took a photo of a small yacht sailing by.
I am having a lovely time as you can tell and only one more full day to go and Thursday morning. There is still so much I want to do and very little time and energy with which to complete it all. May just have to come back for a second visit soon.
I haven't any concrete plans for tomorrow so it will be a surprise for us all tomorrow night.
Sleep well, hopefully I shall.
