Welcome to Crafting made Easy

Welcome to Crafting Made Easy.

Hi, my name is Jill and I am hoping to make this blog relevant to everyone who loves craft in any way, shape or form.  Also, I wish to introduce children to the arts, crafts, hobbies and reading.  (I feel that children today need more fine motor skill training and a little more time away from TV.)

I live in beautiful McLaren Vale on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.  It is a really pretty part of the world and is famous for its food and wine.  These will be featured here as often as I can.  McLaren Vale is nestled between the Adelaide Foothills and the Gulf St Vincent where we have wonderful beaches.  This creates a beautiful climate for wine, almonds & olives.  Not too far away are dairies and fruit trees (Adelaide Hills).
I live with my mother, have two great children and 5 absolutely beautiful grandchildren.  I suffer dreadfully with generalized arthritis and therefore am unable to do as much physical activity as I would like, nor am I able to work.  Therefore I love everything CRAFT and hope to talk about craft here often.  I want to be able to show you different crafts, talk about the latest craft I have been involved with, bring different applicable web sites to your attention and get to know many of you.

My other great love is the rounded education of all children and how much we as parents and grandparents can do to assist this and to make life a little easier and interesting for ALL beautiful little people.  Children need to be encouraged to daily read, also to learn to make things with their hands, (crafts and hobbies, even colouring in a picture) play outside in either arranged sporting activities or just free play!
Grandparents are very important for this as many parents are working now and do not have the time to encourage their children.
You are wondering: where do pelicans come in to this equation?
Well, I adore them, have a large collection of pottery, porcelain & wooden pelicans.  My little grandchildren see a pelican and immediately call 'Grandma'. My friends are also aware and many have brought me different mementos that they have found on their travels.
Well, I think this is a fair introduction of myself, please feel free to make contact with me, their are so many different ways.  Thank you for indulging me with my first blog and I hope you enjoy the article and know me a little better now.
